Minister of Youth Development Boni Haruna on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to Globacom’s corporate headquarters in Lagos, has welcomed the proposal by Globacom to supply 120,000 Closed User Group lines for easy communication among staff of the National Youth Service Corps and corps members.
The minister stated that the development would make the ministry trendy and abreast of international best practices.
“We appreciate the leadership of Globacom. It is not in doubt, Glo has achievements well over others by its products and services as an indigenous company. I assure you of our cooperation. We thank you for being ready to partner with us”, Mr. Haruna noted.
He also described Globacom as a worthy indigenous telecommunication company adding great value to the communication experience of Nigerians with its unique products and services.
Globacom’s Executive Director, Legal Services, Mrs Gladys Talabi, said Globacom since inception over 11 years ago had always embarked on poverty alleviation and empowerment programmes to make life more abundant for Nigerians and had supported the National Poverty Alleviation Programme (NAPEP)
