Enugu Police Command Advices Corp Members To Be Law Abiding

The Enugu State Police Command on Wednesday advised corps members serving in the state to be law abiding and obey rules and regulation of their host communities.

SP Ebere Amaraizu, the command Police Public Relations Officer
PPRO), gave the advice at a security sensitisation for corps members held at NYSC Camp, Awgu near Enugu.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that theme of the sensitisation was: “Road Map to Becoming a Future Champion’’.
Amaraizu stressed the need for the corps members to be security conscious, shun vices and keep good associations.

He said that the command, in partnership with the sister security agencies, government and relevant stakeholders, had intensified efforts toward ensuring safety of the corps members in the state.
The PPRO urged them to avoid anything that would bring them in conflict with the law as well as vices that could truncate their dreams of becoming future champions.

He also used the occasion to distribute the command’s distress call numbers and social media platform contacts to corps members for easy communication with the command.
The State Coordinator of NYSC, Alhaji Ahmed Ikaka, thanked the police for the security lecture and tips.

Ikaka urged the corps members to heed to the advice given by the police.
“This sensitisation by the police command has been so revealing and impactful to all, especially to our corps members,’’ he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the NYSC orientation camp for 2017 Batch ‘A’ Stream 11, which opened on July 26, would close tomorrow Aug. 15.

No fewer than 1,960 corps members, comprising 1,115 females and 845 males are currently participating in the orientation.
